I have currently solved this by passing references to two local (stack) variables however I need to change the to instance-variables since I want to run the call asynchronously in a BackgroundWorker (which means that the variables passed will no longer be in scope if they are stack-based). The reason those two are passed as references are that they will be used to return some values.
